What was the first piece of technology you remember using? What was your favorite (or least favorite) thing about it?
I remember moving from rotary telephones to push button phones. What I remember most was that while we had the equipment, the actual technology had still not caught up – so you would press the button on the phone and then hear the tchk-tchk-tchk-tchk to simulate the time, or distance, I guess, of the rotary phone to register the number your dialed.

What piece of obsolete technology do you still use? Why?
A calculator. Opening up a program on your phone takes more time than actually just using the damn calculator in front of you.

What is your favorite social network and why?
Facebook – my 20th high school reunion was largely planned on Facebook – and from that a large number of people I hadn’t spoken to since the 80s are now a part of my life again. I mean, you can never “go home” again, but these are people who have known me for almost all of my entire life and it’s nice to reconnect in that way.

If you could add one new button to Facebook, what would it be?
A LOVE button. Heh. I said “love button”.

If you were to create a 5-song mixed tape to share with the world via the Internet, what would be on it? What would you title it?
TITLE: IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, PLAY THIS. (Click here to listen!) (Click here to listen!)
Subject Matter: Songs that, no matter how crappy you feel, you can play and instantly turn your mood around. Like the giant needle of adrenaline that John Travolta stabs into Uma Thurman’s heart. But, I mean, not literally. Leave the cardiac stabbing to the professionals.
